LEAWOOD, Kan. - A local doctor has been trusted with performing a cutting-edge procedure that has been called a "liquid facelift".
Sanofi-aventis announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved
Sculptra for the correction of smile lines and other facial wrinkles via injection on healthy patients.
"The technique offers natural-looking results that last up to two years", says Doris Day, M.D., Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York University.
The suggested treatment is a single treatment regime, at three week intervals, for up to four sessions.
