KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Mayor Mark Funkhouser listed establishing a better relationship with City Council, getting city finances in order and making downtown work among his top priorities before the successful veto of an ordinance designed to keep his wife from volunteering at City Hall.
His list of priorities is posted on his Web site,
Funk's Front Porch. On Friday, the mayor joined NBC Action News anchor Jeff Vaughn in studio for a live interview on NBC Action News Midday where he talked about the rest of his priorities, including reducing the crime rate in Kansas City.
Will the mayor's priorities change following his successful veto of a volunteer ordinance aimed to prevent his wife from working at city hall?
