Fights are going to happen no matter where you are or what the occasion. I can’t comment on the lack of security, but you can bet going forward there will be officers and security every 15 feet around the stadium. Kaufmann management is trying to change the atmosphere out at the stadium and this is definitely a set back. Why can’t we place the blame on the individuals who can’t conduct themselves in a public setting. I don’t care what the reason for the fight, obviously the people involved were cant control themselves and I would bet this isn’t the first time these parties have had trouble with disorderly conduct. This type of stuff happens all the time and the only reason the Star reported it is because it happened at the K in the Kids Section. You mix 20 thousand people and alcohol, you are bound to create disagreements. Should security have been more aware? Yes but lets call out the real issue here, someone looking for a fight is going to find it if the look hard enough.

The 'kids' area is back there with all the party deck, sports bar and cheap seats, which seams to spell a recipe for disaster eventually. People come in to party & drink and turn the kids lose to play. (Aside from that, good luck finding a water fountain back there - I haven't found it yet). There is definately a lack of uniformed police from years past, now we have t-shirt security? And they are obviously not qualified or respected enough to stop a brawl. If they can't stop something in the kiddy section, what happens when one of the scrappy teams with fans comes to town? Yeah, the K is different this year. It may have some pretty cool upgrades, and the team is doing well, but something is still missing. Faces I've seen out there for years are now MIA, not just police but all around the ball park. What gives?

I was there sunday and saw the fight first hand... it didnt start from an interrupted picture... the argument began when the wife of the white couple yelled out "these Gdamn N's..." the black male tried to separate the two wives... when the white male spit in the black woman's face... and the brawl began... I agree, who would think a fight would break out in the kid section... moreover who would think in 2009 you'd hear the N word said with such blatant disregard... this fight was racial in nature and i dont understand how people can remain so ignorant... Action news needs to take action and report this story accurately!!!
