From April to September I trained for the Bike MS century ride on a Specialized Roubaix Expert. After 1,400 miles of training, it's time to give up my ride.
On September 26th I reached my goal and rode 100 miles in one day on the carbon frame, super light, eighteen-speed bicycle. I rode to raise money in the fight against MS. But the fight continues.
The bike was donated to me by
BikeSource in Overland Park, Kansas in hopes the bike would raise additional money for multiple sclerosis. That bike is now for sale on ebay.

This bike was used from April to October, 2009 to train for the Kansas City Bike MS century ride. It was donated to me by BikeSource to train as part of sponsor agreement between BikeSource, NBC Action News and the Mid-America Chapter of MS. All proceeds of this auction will go The National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Mid America Chapter.
The bike has a total of 1,400 miles on it and just underwent a deluxe tune-up valued at $325. This bike was maintained by BikeSource of Overland Park, KS. All warranties apply.
This bike will be professionally packed in its original box and shipped to the lower 48 states only. An additional charge of $75.00 will be added for shipping. Insurance is included.
If sold locally (Kansas City or KC Metro) the bike can be picked up at BikeSource, Overland Park, KS and shipping fees will be omitted. If sold locally, BikeSource will throw in a free professional bike fit, a $150 Value.
This Specialized Roubiax Expert Compact is sold as is. The bike has minor scrapes on both front brake handles as a result of a minor spill during a rainy training session.
