LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. - The City of Lee's Summit, Mo. is hosting a contest for Lee's Summit businesses to create a slogan that supports the City's environmental initiatives.
The City has a number of initiatives to preserve the environment, including downtown recycling, electronics recycling, an Adopt-A-Street program, and stream team events. The purpose of the slogan will be to communicate the importance of the city's environmental programs to the public in a memorable way. Lee's Summit plans to use the slogan on the city web site, government access channel, and on all flyers associated with the programs.
The slogan must be limited to 8 words or less, and must come from a local business with a current business license.
The winning slogan will be selected shortly after the entry deadline of Sept. 30. Once a winning slogan is selected, high school art students will design a logo that incorporates the winning slogan. For more information about the contest, go to www.lslandfill.net.
