KANSAS CITY, Mo. - There could soon be 11,000 green job openings in Kansas.
Members of the Climate and Energy Project are crossing both sides of the state line to talk about their renewable energy project.
The jobs would be manufacturing wind turbines and solar panels, and retro-fitting homes and businesses with more green products.
It’s estimated the project will bring nearly $2 billion into the Kansas economy.
A meeting on the project takes place 6 p.m. Thursday at V's Italian Restaurant, 10819 E. US Highway 40 in Independence, Mo.
The meeting will be led by the regional program manager of the
Kansas Blue Green Alliance.
