Dozens of midtown Kansas Citians toured exhibits Saturday designed to help them make their homes more energy efficient.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Dozens of residents of midtown Kansas City toured a Green Impact Zone information fair Saturday.

The Mid-America Regional Council sponsored the event at Paseo High School, 4747 Flora.

Three workshops were part of Saturday’s event:
  • "Smart Grid and Do-It-Yourself Weatherization” from Kansas City Power and Light
  • “Census 2010: ‘Step Up and Be Counted,’” sponsored by the U.S. Census Bureau
  • A discussion of buying a home in the current economy, sponsored by Bryant Real Estate.
Tom Joyner, host of a nationally-syndicated radio program, was a special guest at the Green Impact Zone information fair.
