Why don't they invest in the lights that automatically turn off when no activity has beed in the office or area, we have it here at work and they do leave enough on to see, but when you walk into your area, bingo they come on even at 3 am in the morning or 1 PM in the afternoon. Once you have left the area, the go off. CLAP on CLAP off......

I will agree that MOST of the lights should be turned off. However, some lights MUST remained lite for security reasons or so that when people come in during dark hours they can see. However at NO TIME should the ac / heat be turned off. Turned so that it isnt waisting as much energy I think can and SHOULD happen...ie ac turned to 75 or so at night. Heat turned to 65 or so. But if these are turned off the amount of energy saved would be waisted QUICKLY when they are turned on during the day. Takes A LOT more energy tp cool a building from 85 to 72 then it would from 75 to 72.
