KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri doctors and nurses showed their support Thursday for President Obama's public option and health care reform.
The group "
Organizing for America" met at Cancer Survivor's Park near 47th street and Roanoke in the Plaza.
The group is a grassroots branch of the Democratic National Committee supporting the President's health proposals.
Doctors with the group say a public option is necessary to help stop them from turning away patients who desperately need care.
This event came on the heels of the Senate Finance Committee passing its own health insurance reform bill.
