LENEXA, Kan. – A new facility is set to open in Lenexa and will bring dozens of new jobs to the metro.

Systemair, a ventilation company, bought the Emerson Ventilation Plant at 10048 Industrial Park in Lenexa last May. Monday, they cut the ribbon on their plant, which will serve as their manufacturing and distribution center. It is a 155,000 square foot building.

Systemair sells products in the U.S. under the name “Fan Tech”.

They plan to spend about $2.5 million dollars renovating their plant in the next five years.

The company wants to hire 39 new employees this year, and will add 150 employees in the next three to five years.

The plant manager said he needs all types of employees.

The company received about $1.4 million dollars in incentives from the state for the plant.

If you're interested in applying for one of the new positions at Systemair, check out their Web site at http://www.systemair.com  or through Workforce Partnership http://www.workforcepartnership.com/ a local employment agency.
