KANSAS CITY, Ks.- More than 300 jobs are coming to Kansas City, Kansas. The day after one Wal-Mart closes in the city, another opens near the Kansas Speedway.
Company officials announced the Super Wal-Mart in Plaza at the Speedway will open Wednesday.
They say the store will feature a fully stocked-grocery store and automotive service area. Officials also claim the new store, the size of four football fields, will actually be energy-efficient and employ 450 people. Around 150 positions will be filled by current Wal-Mart employees from other stores.
On Tuesday, the Wal-Mart at 65th & State Avenue closed its doors.
