ST. LOUIS - The last Dodge Ram Pickup Truck rolled off the assembly line last week at the Chrysler plant in Fenton, Mo. The July 10 closing leaves 1,500 people without jobs.

The plant, which also made mini-vans, opened back up briefly a few weeks ago while workers produced more than 400 Dodge Ram Pickups, but they finished ahead of schedule.

The closing of the plant is also ahead of schedule. Chrysler officials originally planned to wait until September to close it.

Chrysler just emerged from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in June after selling most of their assets to Italian automaker Fiat.
