KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Back to school shoppers will get some relief this weekend.

The sales tax holiday weekend began at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7 and ends at midnight on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Missouri’s 4.25 percent sales tax will be waived on a list of back to school items.

Certain back-to-school purchases, such as $100 or less of clothing, up to $50 in school supplies, computer software of $350 dollars or less and personal computers of $3,500 or less in value are included.

However, be aware that not all Missouri cities are participating in this holiday weekend.
