PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. – A free legal clinic will be held Thursday for people who are owed wages by current or former employers.
The Kansas City Worker Justice Center is holding the walk-in clinic from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9100 Mission Road.
Volunteers will be available to help low income workers prepare wage claims.
Advice will also be offered on other workplace issues, such as unlawful termination and injuries.
The staff will include Spanish-speaking volunteers.
Organizers said workers seeking advice should bring along paystubs, copies of checks, time records and any other paperwork related to the job where they experienced problems.
