Foreclosures Down For the Third Month in a Row

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The national trend is that foreclosure filings over the last three months have gone down, Kansas appears to be improving faster than Missouri.

A company called RealtyTrac of Irvine, California tracks foreclosure rates across the country.

They are reporting that foreclosures were down 3% from September 2009 to October 2009 but up 19% from the same time a year ago.

USA Today has compiled a state-by-state chart that shows foreclosure rates across the country.

Their chart shows that Kansas is ranked 37th in the nation in terms foreclosure improvement, with 27% fewer foreclosures.

Missouri is in 30th place with 2% more foreclosures.

The state of Nevada is ranked number one for the worst foreclosure rate in the country.
