"My two uncles have drove nothing but Chrysler all their lives. They bought 20 or 30 cars from them and Mitch Crawford was a true Raytown man," says Buroff.
Raytown Chamber of Commerce President Vicki Turnbow said the loss could have long-term effects on the Raytown economy.
She is hopeful that the Crawford family, which has been part of the Chamber since 1975, can overcome the loss.
The dealerships have until the end of the month to appeal the closings.
Chrysler plans to close 10 area dealerships as part of the company's plan to restructure in bankruptcy.
In all 789 dealerships will close across the country.
