Delta doubled it's rates for checking a second bag. Now you'll pay $50.
Starting July 9th, US Airways is raising it's rates by $5. You can save $5 by booking online.
If you are flying
United, and didn't buy your ticket befOre May 14th you'll pay up to $5 more too. Again you can save if you pay ahead online.
Southwest is still one of the only domestic airlines that does not charge fees on the first two bags.
You can cash in on discounts for some airlines if you are in the military, belong to certain frequent flier programs, have a
airline credit card, or you fly first class.

watchdog group keeping tabs. Although, at last check it was not the most current.
