KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Zach Thomas has filed a grievance against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a report by ESPN. The former linebacker claims he had a concussion when the team released him prior to the start of this season.

Thomas is trying to recoup at least part of his $1 million salary because he believes the Chiefs should have had to reach an injury settlement with him before cutting him after the preseason.

The veteran linebacker was one of the team's final roster cuts. He missed all but five days of training camp.
