KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The founder of the Kansas City Chiefs is getting special recognition.

The Missouri General Assembly has designated a major part of Interstate 435 as “Lamar Hunt Memorial Highway”. House Bill 683, passed by Representative Darrell Pollock, calls for the Missouri Department of Transportation to honor Hunt with highway signs.

They’ll be put up on Northbound I-435 near the Stadium Drive/Raytown Road Exit. Signs will also be put up at Southbound I-435, near 48th Street and Worlds of Fun.

The designation will be recognized during pregame ceremonies before the Chiefs take on the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
