KANSAS CITY, Mo - Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley says he likes his depth at running back following Monday's release of Larry Johnson.

Jamaal Charles, Kolby Smith, and Dantrell Savage will take over the rushing duties following Johnson's departure.

"I like the [rushing] average especially from Jamaal and Kolby. When they have a four-plus average [per run] I think that’s a pretty good sign," said Haley.

During his Monday press conference, Haley said finding the right players is an ongoing process and that it continues throughout the season.

“It is a process finding the right 53. I’ve been reminded by a lot of the people I lean on over and over again that it is a process. It’s the beginning of the process. It’s not the middle; it’s not the end. It’s the beginning," he said.
