KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It appears the Chiefs are still not satisfied with their wide receiver position. So they just keep on bringing in new players.

The team on Monday signed free agent wide receiver Ashley Lelie after cutting receiver Jeff Webb. The 6-foot-3, 193 Lelie has played in 107 games and made 59 starts during his seven-year NFL career. He has caught 217 passes for 3,749 yards with 15 TDs.

Lelie played for the Raiders last season. He had 11 catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns in 2008.

He’s also played for the 49ers, Falcons and Broncos. He entered the NFL as a first-round draft choice, 19th overall, of Denver in 2002.

Lelie finished his collegiate career at Hawaii as the school’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown catches.
