KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Chiefs handed away another victory. Darren McFadden scampered in from five yards out with 1:07 left to play for the go-ahead score. Oakland beat Kansas City 13-10.

Matt Cassel made his Chiefs' debut. It was a day to forget. Cassel completed 24 of 39 passes for 241 yards. He had one touchdown pass but also threw two interceptions.

Cassel's touchdown seemed to come at the perfect moment. The Chiefs were trailing 6-3 with a little more than two minutes to play. Cassel dropped back and tossed and a 29-yard strike to Dwayne Bowe for the score. The Chiefs took a 10-6 lead.

The Oakland offense had been shut down all day. The Raiders only managed 166 yards of total offense in the game. Jamarcus Russell only completed seven of 24 passes for 109 yards. However, Russell and the Raiders saved their best for last. They drove 69 yards in less than two minutes. McFadden's touchdown put Oakland up 13-10.

The Chiefs had one last chance, but their final drive never got going. The Chiefs turned the ball over on downs to seal the Oakland victory.

The Chiefs outgained the Raiders 409 to 166. Larry Johnson rushed for 78 yards on 24 carries. Bobby Wade was the leading Kansas City receiver in his team debut. He had six catches for 72 yards.

Oakland improved to 1-1. Kansas City fell to 0-2.
