GAME UPDATES

4th Quarter

Going no where in a hurry, both teams traded possessions to start the fourth quarter before a key pass interference set the Chiefs up for their next score, a 33-yard field goal to go up six points.

The Raiders tried to mount a scoring drive in the last two minutes, but ran out of luck when the Chiefs intercepted a pass to seal the game.

Final Score: Chiefs 16, Oakland 10.

3rd Quarter

The Chiefs received the second half kickoff and quickly proved their offensive success in the first half was no fluke, marching down the field – including picking up their first third-down conversion of the game – but Succop missed a 52-yard field goal attempt to keep the score at 13-10.

Oakland took advantage of the good field position in moving down the field, but they too would come up short when Janikowski misfired on a 46-yard field goal attempt.

On the ensuing drive, Cassel connected with Dewayne Bowe on a crossing pattern, but Bowe fumbled the ball. After several players tried to recover, the Chiefs wound up with the ball, but failed to come away with points after failing to convert on a fourth down.

Score: Chiefs 13, Oakland 10

2nd Quarter

After more trading of punts, the Chiefs converted a fourth down, which led to a 44-yard touchdown run by Jamaal Charles to tie the game at 10.

Another Oakland punt set the Chiefs up for their third score of the day, this time a 25-yard field goal by Succop to take the lead 13-10.

Neither team was able to put any points on the board the rest of the quarter.

Score: Chiefs 13, Oakland 10.

1st Quarter

The Chiefs got off to a shaky start when Oakland running back Michael Bush ran for a 60-yard gain for Oakland to set up a Justin Fargas touchdown to give the Raiders an early 7-0 lead.

Chiefs Quarterback Matt Cassel followed up Oakland’s touchdown drive with an interception, but it was just as good as a punt.

After trading possessions, Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop connected on a 50-yard field goal to bring the Chiefs within four.

Not to be outdone, Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski hit a 50-yarder to push the lead back to seven.

SCORE: Oakland 10, Chiefs 3
