KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It’s official. The Chiefs announced on Monday that they have reached a settlement with running back Larry Johnson on all matters related to his recent conduct.
The Chiefs made the announcement in conjuction with the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association.
Johnson will remain suspended through the team’s game at Jacksonville on Nov. 8. He will not be allowed to participate in any team activities or be on team premises until Monday, Nov. 9.
The Chiefs added in a statement that the matter is closed and they will have no further comment.
Johnson started and played in all of the Chiefs first seven games this season. He has 132 carries for 358 yards and no touchdowns. He's averaging just 2.7 yards per carry.
The Chiefs are coming off a bye and play at Jacksonville this Sunday at 12pm. Kansas City's record is currently 1-6.
