KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Quinten Lawrence wasn’t away from the Chiefs very long.

The team on Tuesday added Lawrence to its practice squad. The move comes after the Chiefs released Lawrence before last Sunday’s game against San Diego.

They cut Lawrence after promoting wide receiver Lance Long from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Lawrence has played in two games for the Chiefs this season. The rookie rushed one time for 16 yards and returned one kickoff for 17 yards.

The Chiefs selected the former McNeese State wide receiver in the sixth round of this year’s draft.
