JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Starting in August, you will be able to see how much your Missouri elected official draws in pension benefits.

In the past, you needed to file a Sunshine Law request to get the information.  Now, the information will be at your fingertips for elected officials and judges.

"Elected officials and judges operate with the public trust and easy access to their benefits package makes sense," Missouri Treasurer Clint Zweifel said.

The Treasurer says the information will become available starting Aug. 11, however, the Missouri State Employees' Retirement System (MOSERS) Web site says it will start Aug. 13.  Written comments will be accepted until Aug. 13 by emailing jakem@mosers.org.
