KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A metro area tax preparer is no longer in business.
The United States District Court has filed a permanent injunction against Carlos Cruz.
Cruz is accused of giving customers bad advance on deductions and prepared returns with forged information.
At least 75 of his clients were forced to pay the IRS additional money because of his errors.
Cruz operated his business under the name of Carlos Income Tax Services.
