WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Target is working with the
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall 43,000 booster seats. Target began selling the Circo seats last December.
The CPSC says the buckles can pop open causing a child to fall out of the seat. There have been eight reports of the buckle unexpectedly opening. In three cases, the child was bruised.
The manufacture date codes involved in the recall include XJ0811, XJ0812, XJ0901, and XJ0902. You can find this code on the back of the seat near the consumer warning.
You can return the booster seat to any Target store for a full refund or call Target at 1 800 440 0680.
