Kansas City is buzzing over a Call For Action investigation into Chad Franklin Suzuki.
There are new developments since the story aired Wednesday night.
The Call For Action lines have been ringing off the hook all day Thursday and e-mails are pouring in from frustrated consumers stuck in what sounded like an incredible deal.
Call For Action reporter Jenn Strathman chated with Darla and callers Thursday morning at 980 KMBZ about the Deal or No Deal Investigation that showed countless consumers who thought they were going to have a new car for a small monthly payment or no payment at all.
The deal was advertised all over the television and made the deal sound easy.
But six months to a year later, consumers find they're stuck with $500 and $600 loan payments, not the small fee or no fee as promised.
It sparked comments from callers including a former employee and other consumers who saw ads.
"I don’t feel sorry for those people because I thought about it. I saw the ad on TV and thought 'This can't be,'" one caller said.
Chad Franklin declined comment for the investigation. Jenn Strathman reached out to Franklin again Thursday but the dealership has not agreed to sit down with NBC Action News at this time.
The dealer did send a statement Wednesday that says the dealer has pulled their ads and is fully cooperating with the Kansas Attorney General. You can read that statement (in PDF format)
