RIVERSIDE, Mo. – Interstate 635 North reopened Wednesday evening following a crash.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says a semi-truck was heading north near Missouri Highway 9, when it crossed the roadway, went through the median and into the northbound lanes around 4:30 p.m.
For most of the rush hour, the roadway was down to one lane as crews cleared the wreckage. The roadway was closed for about 20 minutes, but reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
Traffic was backed up for miles, and took about three hours before the congestion was cleared.
Investigators did not release much more information, including whether the driver was injured or if any charges will be filed.
