BASEHOR, Kan.- About 600 students returned to school aroound noon Friday after a written bomb threat was found in a bathroom.
Basehor assistant superintendent Dave Howard tells NBC Action News the threat was found on the wall of a boy’s bathroom at Basehor High School sometime between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Howard said district officials followed protocol and evacuated the building, 2108 N. 155th St., Basehor.
All students were taken on buses to First Baptist Church, located about a half-mile from the school.
A bomb-sniffing dog unit from Kansas City, Kan., was called in.
No device was found and authorities were continuing to investigate.
Officials plan to review several different surveillance tapes inside the building in hopes of identifying the person or persons responsible.
