KANSAS CITY, Mo. - When it comes to gifts, wine can be a great way to go. Vintner’s Cellar, a metro micro-winery, allows you to personalize that gift like never before.

Walk into Vintner's Cellar at 13011 Stateline Road in Kansas City, and you will see wine. All sorts of wine. What you won't see are grapes. But don't let that fool you. Owners Rick and Donna Rosenbaum do make all of their own wines right here.

“What we do is our suppliers get grapes from around the world,” Rick Rosenbaum explains. “They crush them, send us the juice, and then we ferment it here.”

The end results are enjoyed by customers in their Tuscan-themed tasting room. For their adventurous customers, Vintner's allows them to participate in the wine making process.
From the fermenting, to the bottling, customers can create custom batches.

But it's the finishing touch, the custom labeling, that brings a lot of gift-giving customers back.

They can help you with everything from weddings to anniversaries – to holidays and business gifts.

“We do them totally from scratch,” Rosenbaum says. “We do have some backgrounds or templates to start with. Or you can bring your own photographs and start from scratch.”
Vintner's Cellar is also a great place for a custom party.  They've hosted all sorts of groups, businesses, and families for such events as birthday parties or showers.  In addition to wine tasting, which you can sample any day of the week, they host public events too.

“We also do formal tastings where we do about seven wines at a time,” Rosenbaum says.  “We walk you through the wines and we educate you on things like the five essences of wine tasting and the different aspects of wine.”

Vintner's Cellar offers over 30 different varieties of wines. They also have a wine club which allows connoisseurs to try a different bottle each month.
