KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A new group of people want to be added to the list of priority groups receiving the swine flu vaccine. Santas.
The president of the national volunteer Santa group wants Santas to be given priority, and not just because they are exposed to dozens of kids during the holidays.
Ernest Berger of Santa America says a third of the nation’s Santas are also at least 100 pounds overweight.
Research shows obesity is a risk factor for having a severe case of the swine flu.
Berger has asked an Alabama congressman to look into the matter.
