BURBANK, Ca. - Every once in a while, we hear a story about a garage sale find that could turn out to be worth millions. This could be one of those stories.
Ten years ago Richard Norsigian bought sixty glass negatives for 45 dollars. Friends who saw the negatives said they looked like the work of Ansel Adams, the famous photographer known for his black and white photos of Yosemite National Park.
Norsigian did a little research and a handwriting expert confirmed the writing on the envelopes the negatives came in is that of Adams’ wife, Virginia.
If it turns out the negatives really are from Ansel Adams, they could be worth millions of dollars.
The Ansel Adams trust says the negatives are not Ansel Adams, but Norsigian is getting plenty of offers for the negatives anyway.
