SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- A simple tree removal turned into something a log bigger when the home was split in half.
Homeowner Michelle McCarthy says, "Our fear and the fear of the arborist was that the tree would fall on top of the house."
Instead the weight of the 150 year old tree brought the crane down onto the California house.
It took too more cranes to remove the ten wheeled 100,000 pound machine.
The home owners just bought the house three months ago.
They hired Reliable Crane and Rigging to remove the tree.
Now they say they're just glad no one was hurt.
