KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The mother of an autistic teen missing for eleven days is calling out the NYPD, because of where he was the entire time he was gone.

13-year-old Francisco Hernandez, Jr. didn’t come home from school one day last month; because he was afraid he would get in trouble for something that happened at school.

Hernandez says he stayed in the subway the whole time was away from home.

He says he slept on the trains, used restrooms in the stations, and lived on $11 worth of food.

Despite a search by police, volunteers, and family members, Hernandez wasn’t spotted for eleven days.

The police commissioner defends the NYPD’s response, saying they weren’t focusing on just the subways, so it took longer to find the missing boy.
