ANAHEIM, Calif. – One day of volunteering could equal a one day free visit to a Disney theme park.
Officials announced the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program Tuesday.
One million people who volunteer for at least one day in 2010 will get a free one day pass to Disneyland or Walt Disney World.
Disney will partner with the
HandsOn Network to connect people with projects and certify that they completed their volunteer work.
HandsOn Network works with 70,000 agencies, including food banks, churches, health care centers and Habitat for Humanity.
To be eligible for the free pass, participants must be residents of the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.
You must be at least 18 years old to sign up, but children ages six to 17 will qualify for a free ticket if they are accompanied by an adult when they volunteer.
