GASTONIA, N.C. -- Surveillance cameras at a North Carolina apartment complex caught a deer swimming laps.
The deer jumped through the glass roof that covers the pool.
"A deer...with 4-point, maybe six. The head sticking out of the pool, doing laps," says Maintenance Supervisor Carl Moore.
It was in the pool for nearly 15 minutes.
Moore used a net to shepherd the deer to the shallow end of the pool, where it finally walked up the steps to get out.
"He did approach the steps on both ends here, and he just couldn't comprehend just to take a few more steps and he would've just walked out," said Moore.
