It’s not the first time you’ve seen Liz Zamora’s face in Kansas City! Zamora re-joined NBC Action News in January 2009 and reports for NBC Action News Today and NBC Action News Midday. Most recently Liz worked at KTKA Topeka as the Community Reporter and 6 O' clock Anchor. She also worked at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri as an anchor/reporter.
Zamora graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in broadcast journalism. She took her first job in television at KOLR in Springfield, Missouri. Zamora worked there for four years before coming here, KSHB-TV, where she worked as a photographer, and occasional reporter.
Zamora left the television news industry briefly to produce a television show for the Kansas City Police Department. She went on to work for the City Government Station in Kansas City, producing several shows.
Zamora grew up in South Central Missouri near the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers. In her spare time, Zamora enjoys playing sports like basketball, tennis and golf. She also enjoys cheering her Mizzou Tigers on in basketball and football.
