Lindsay joined KSHB in May 2009 as a morning reporter and multimedia journalist. She is so excited to be back at home in the metro!
Lindsay comes to KSHB from WIBW in Topeka, KS. She started there as weekend anchor and reporter and worked her way up to weekday morning anchor. She also produced and anchored the midday show and continued reporting. She's chased tornadoes, covered their devastation, and covered every angle of the historic 2008 presidential elections. Lindsay saw a lot of those angles from the Sunflower state including Kansas Senator Sam Brownback announcing his candidacy to then-Governor Kathleen Sebelius becoming a possible Vice Presidential candidate and eventually Health and Human Services Secretary for President Barack Obama.
Lindsay’s love for journalism and politics really flourished in college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She began her career there, reporting for NPR affiliates across Missouri from the state Capitol. She also spent two years during college reporting and anchoring for KOMU where she travelled to Louisiana to cover the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Being a reporter has been Lindsay’s dream since childhood. She got her first taste of television news right here in the metro, growing up in Liberty. She was an anchor and reporter for the school district’s cable channel in highschool.
In her free time, Lindsay loves cooking, running, traveling, learning new languages, picking up her violin every once in a while, and just hanging out with her friends and family. She loves talking to people, so if you have any ideas for a story or just want to say hello, send
her an e-mail!
