Job Title: News Reporter
Status: Full Time
Reports To: News Director

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES PERFORMED:

1. Enterprise stories and develop contacts in the Kansas City area.
2. Expect to deliver live reports daily, even in inclement weather.
3. Take direction from the assignment desk, producers and newsroom managers.
4. Write stories for all newscasts and the internet.
5. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:
EDUCATION - Prefer college degree.
EXPERIENCE - Prefer 2-5 years reporter experience in a local television market.
SKILLS - The successful candidate should be able to do great liveshots; he or she must have unlimited energy, be flexible and be willing to change stories in midstream. Excellent speaking and writing communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate must have be a team player and work effectively with others. Must have valid driver's license and proof of insurability. Must be able to work holidays, mornings, nights and/or weekends.
