EXAMPLES OF DUTIES PERFORMED:
This list of duties is not exhaustive and duties may be added, deleted, or changed at any time, without notice.
Produce and coordinate newscasts
Write stories, lead-ins, tags, or other information contained in a newscast
Incorporate graphics into newscasts
Coordinate live feeds and reports from microwave and satellites
Book satellite time and coordinate feeds with other media outlets
Work with assignment desk and help assign reporters and photographers as needed
May be required to field produce stories in the field or write stories for the website
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
Requirements:
EDUCATION - Prefer college degree in Communications, Journalism or related field.
EXPERIENCE - Prefer 2-4 years producer experience in comparable market and television station.
SKILLS - Detail work is an integral part of this position. Excellent speaking and writing communication skills are a must. Knowledge of video and graphics preferred. The candidate must be able to under pressure, work effectively with others, and be adaptable as job requires. Job may require holiday work and the candidate must be able to work weekends or mornings.
