NBC Action News Internship Opportunities
Information on Internships
Internships at NBC Action News are open to college students who are interested in a career in broadcast journalism. Internships are unpaid and students must receive course credit.
Prospective interns must demonstrate initiative. Responsibilities will be determined after assessing the intern’s abilities and will increase as the intern progresses.
NBC Action news offers internships in a variety of areas:
Art
Editing
General News
Investigative and Call For Action Teams
Internet
Kansas City Live (Magazine Show)
Production
Promotions
Sales
Sports
Weather
REQUIREMENTS:
Work at least 15 hours per week
Must dress and act as a professional
May spend time outside the station, and represent NBC Action News
Must show up for scheduled shift on time
Internships are available for all semesters throughout the year. Summer internships are more in demand and students should send in applications early.
